Nathan Bartell

Nathan Bartell's musical career started in the early 1970s, with some success in the southern United States. At the end of the '70s and throughout the '80s, he was a member of The Shandells, and they were the backing band of Z.Z. Hill. By 1987, Bartell recorded a number of songs for the short-lived Vanity records, and they appear on this solo album. Soon after, Bartell encountered health issues as well as personal tragedies. He became a born-again Christian, and he retired from the music scene.
