Astral Spectre
Ars Notoria
Astral Spectre was founded as a solo project as a solo project by Tenebros in 2020. It is a blend of harsh first wave black metal vocals, and guitar riffs that evoke the unique feeling of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal. Inspired by classic rock of the '70s, a hammond organ is also included into the soundscape. The first three songs were written and recorded during 2020 while the mixing and mastering was done in 2021, leading to the release of the demo 'The Oath Is Broken' on two limited runs of self produced tapes. About one year later the debut album 'Phantom Nightmare' was finished, including a guest performance and co-songwriter credits of Befana with clarinet and flute. It marked the beginning of the cooperation of Astral Spectre and Northern Silence Productions. In 2023 Tenebros assembled a live lineup and the first gigs were played. The album 'Ars Notoria' was written and continues where 'Phantom Nightmare' left off, with more elaborate song structures and musicianship but still in the unique and unmistakeable A.S. style. The CD comes as collector's edition in 4-panel digipack with 8-page booklet, limited to 500 copies.
