Toubab Bile

Senegalese musician and singer Maxidilick Adioa released his very first single ever in 1987, entitled 'Toubab Bile'. Back then, Adioa had been living in France. He was considered a master percussionist, playing, recording and touring alongside the Ivorian artist Alpha Blondy. 'Toubab Bilé' remains Adioa's biggest hit to this day, and is considered as one of the best African reggae tunes ever recorded. Adioa ended up signing an album deal with Chris Blackwell's Island records which sparked his career as an established musician.
