French-Egyptian musician and composer Mohamed Abozekry presents his fifth album. On 'Roh El Fouad' the oud player crosses oriental vocal songs and a fundamentally jazzy instrumental composition. The titles of this fine album demonstrate a maturity and a prolific and luminous musical research. On the oud, Mohamed Abozekry nimbly develops different playing techniques such as bass slapping and harmonic guitar arpeggios. His sound is unique, as a soloist as well as accompanying the musicians of the sextet.
